Agency Definition Page

The Agency Definition Page enables you to define a new agency for your store. This page appears when you click the Add New Agency button on the Agency Listing page. With the KommerceServer security options, you can allow your key customers access to manage their own agency information. The following image displays an example of the Agency Definition page.

The Agency Definition Page contains the following elements.

Element	Description
Associated Business	Allows you to view or search for an associated business for the agency definition. Every agency must be associated to an existing business (e.g. customer)
Agency Name	Allows you to enter a name for the agency.
Agency Type	Allows you to select an agency type.
Store	Allows you to select the specific store for the agency. If there are multiple stores and an agency is relative to more than one store, you will need to create multiple agencies associated to the same business.
Agency Image	Allows you to select an image to associate with the agency, which is displayed on the locator pages.
Active	When selected, allows your agency to be active and viewed by your web customers. When unselected, your web customers will not be able to view this agency.
Sales Agency	When selected, allows you to designate the agency as a sales agency, which will be displayed on the Agency_Dealer_Locator page.
Service Agency	When selected, allows you to designate the agency as a service agency, which will be displayed on the Agency_Service_Locator page.
Inventory Agency	When selected, allows you to designate the agency as an inventory agency, which will display on the Agency_Branch_Locator page. This checkbox also enables you to display branch level inventory levels for products in the online store. Branch level display of inventory is optional by product and must be declared for each product profile definition.
E-Commerce Website	Allows you to enter a URL for an E-Commerce website that is associated with the agency. If present, the locator pages will allow users to link to this website from your online store.
Summary Tab	Allows you to enter a summary description of the agency that will be seen by your web customers on the locator pages as well as the detailed driving instructions.
Search Locations Tab
New Button	Allows you to add a search location to the agency definition. See Adding a New Agency for more information.
Representatives Tab
New Button	Allows you to add one or more sales representatives that you want associated with the agency. The drop-down menu is a list of existing contacts for the associated business. If the sales representative does not appear in the drop-down menu, a new contact must be created for the associated business from the Agency Home page. This tab is typically used for adding internal sales representatives to your agency definition. See Adding a New Agency for more information.
Specialties Tab
New Button	Allows you to add any agency tags that you want to associate with the agency definition. See Agency Tags for more information.
